The textile industry utilizes rubber rollers in a range of hardness (45 Shore A – 100 Shore A) designed to squeeze water and or chemicals out of substrate/fabrics that are being manufactured. R-Tex, R-Tex J, R-Tex Star, R-Chem Dip compound used in the manufacturing of rubber roller, specifically for textile processing.
Steel Industry
The Steel industry rubber roller is primarily used in the steel manufacturing processes. A wide range of rollers, in a full range of hardness, are used to meet chemical resistance, high temperatures, coefficient of friction and abrasion resistance requirements of the steel making process.
Paper Industry
The paper industry rubber roller is primarily used in the dewatering, sizing, drying and calendaring processes. Major problems of printing industry rollers are hardening and shrinking of rollers in service – to address these problems, the compounds used should be chemical resistant with less heat buildup and hardness stability. Common elastomers used are Nitrile – PVC, Nitrile, EPDM and silicone.
